What the heck is this? A confirmed prime? lol

I'm pushing my own primes off the list. Out with the old, in with the new.

Seeing a confirmed prime and a new prime only 1 k and n=~1000 apart makes one appreciate the filling in of holes that we are doing. For instance, I see that k=1501-1503, 1507, 1511, 1515-1517, 1521-1529, 1533, and 1539 have (supposedly) been previously searched for n=350K-500K yet k=1505, 1509, 1513, 1519, 1531, 1535, and 1537 had not been previously searched at all for n>50K.

This kind of makes one wonder what people are thinking. Wouldn't it be easier just to search them all? Oh well, more new primes for us followed by nice cleanly searched ranges.

Gary i was also wondering how these ranges were tested in the past.
Confirmed primes and new primes so close together shouldn't be happening if folks had tested the ranges previously.

As to taking a larger range to test, yes i would like to do that.
The half k nibbles i have done already were just a test of my server and procedures.
I am assuming what i returned to you was in order ?.

BTW
If i manually return results, do the pairs and primes get recorded in the team/individual stats.

Unfortunately, not at this time. We've discussed the possibility of including manual results in the database a couple of times, but it's never come to fruition due to logistical problems.

However, yes, eventually we would like to get something set up to keep track of stats for manual results. When we do, it will probably be retroactive so past results such as your here will be included.
