I can't seem to get the Report Factors to work for an individual number.

Edit: Never-mind, it is working now.

kar_bon 2010-08-24 22:29

Suggestion:

The status-page:

Smallest unproven prime 860 digits
Smallest composite without known factors 69 digits
Smallest number with status unknown 4,953 digits

What about a link to those numbers so a user could try to complete the DB!

These numbers change every few seconds/minutes as the workers are working on all of them. But anyway - i can show them.

Nice! :tu:

A possible bug: When I click "report factors", pasting the latest lines of an .elf file didn't seem to work. I had to report the factors one by one by clicking the latest unfactored composite of aliquot seq. 10212 and pasting a factor to the "report factor" line below. (this was working fine.)

The (part of the) .elf file which I tried to paste into the "report factors" page was:
Hi everyone,
However, some things are not done yet.
-Login / Worker script
-Detecting merges in sequences, sequence overview
-Factor tables
-All Sequences end on a prime - even the ones that shouldn't.
Thanks for your work

I also use the text format (text=Text) and even the raw=1 of the old version. They make it easier to grab whole sequences.

It would be great if we could keep these features as well. The text format is the more important one however.

hi.
I hope your new database is solid... cause we will try to.. overload it with factors.

10metreh 2010-08-25 07:42

Thanks for the overhaul Syd - that should help the aliquot project.

Just one thing: the new DB doesn't display merges.

See his poxt #807: This will be done later.

The same with the text-display of sequences.

Not all at once, it's nice to see some more progress there!

:doh!: Didn't notice...

Andi_HB 2010-08-25 10:38

The Fibonacci Numbers are not up to date.
There are many more known Factors in the old DB.

Have they been added in the last few days? In his posting above, Syd said that he used a few-day-old backup of the old DB to build up the new one.
