I (we) keep seeing messages as to mystery work being accomplished and speculation that the worker must know about the forum due to sequence selection, but would it be possible to ask Syd to provide a note on the db page pointing to the forum? Maybe something along these lines:
Note: A project is underway to advance these sequences in a coordinated manner. The project and its sub-projects can be reviewed at http://www.mersenneforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=90 for further information. Please join the forum to avoid duplication of effort. |
Any hackers other than the "159 bug" one who might like to put this on the DB homepage?

The DB seems to be down.

Back up already.

I'm factoring numbers of the form x*(x!)*(x#)+1.
How about you try? http://factorization.ath.cx/search.php?query=x*%28x%21%29*%28x%23%29%2B1 |
I'm sorry but is there any where to change my password or could this function be added some day?

Have you sent an email? Syd doesn't seem to respond to requests here.

I did (just a few minutes after my first posting about the 57-bug in sequence 10212), but I didn't get an answer. BTW: According to his Location given below Syd's avatar, he lives in Germany, so I wrote the mail in german (that's also my mother language) - maybe it's better to write another mail in english? |

It's right, he is German. I've mailed with him in German, too. The forum says, he was online the last time on Mar. 30, 2010 but without any response to anyone. Also P.Zimmerman send him mails but no answer, too. It's quite bad to see such great DB is not supported for such a long time! Markus, if you read this what about this idea: If anybody is willing/able to support the DB, give him the permission to do so! |
