suggestion for better handling sequences output:
changing
( ) Show whole sequence ( ) Show whole sequence (text) (o) Show last 20 elements ( ) Show last 20 elements (text) ( ) Show range [ ] to [ ]
to
( ) Show whole sequence (o) Show last 20 elements ( ) Show last element ( ) Show range [ ] to [ ] [ ] text only
so you can choose displaying text only, or if not checked, as html (by dafault) plus: only displaying the last index! |

How can I report ECM curves now?
|
hey, you've stolen my suggestion! nobody is so fast in that!
The functions already worked that way, just had to modify the interface a little bit
How can I report ECM curves now?
You have to register - thats just entering login, name and password. |

I still don't see the function to report curves. I also tried submitting the output files from ecm but that didn't do it either. Does the number need to be assigned to workers first? |

Does the number need to be assigned to workers first?
You have to click on the >> by "Assign cofactors to workers" first, and then in the menu of choices that opens up you'll see the part where you can report ECM work. BTW Syd, how does the whole point system work? |

Yep. There it is. And it looks like you also need to click ">>" to see the reported curves, too, not just to assign and report them. Can that be made so the reported curves show up by default, and you only need to click ">>" to add curves and assign to workers? |
Db checking now all seqs (at about n=200000), but there's another problem:
every seq got the 'Merge at n=1 with <seq>, n=0' entry, so merging with itself! hope this will fixed later when DB sone with all seqs! |
Observation to the new data base.
Factors can not be reported (~ > C100) from the Aliquot Sequence page. They are accepted in the background reporting page. Also, as all prime factors are submitted, the data base use to automatically TF the small factors for the next sequence. Currently no TF is performed. Perhaps not all the standard workers are on-line yet. |
I just noticed that any ECM assignments--even ones to the 40-digit level--seem to be completed VERY quickly. Right now there are 5 cores listed on the worker status page (four from "Greg" and one from me), and as nice as it is to be able to plow through a 40-digit ECM assignment in a few minutes, it seems a little unbelievable. On the "old" DB, even with tons more cores available than this, an ECM very high limits job even just to 35 digits took much, much longer than this. What gives?
