You're right. Please excuse my misunderstanding. |
No, it's not new. But it is handy, if that's the kind of P-1 work you like to do. Documentation, such as it is, is here. Or just ask, of course.
1. How about adding a Help link to the page (and other similar pages)?
2. How about adding a button for just looking at what would have been (or would be) assigned, instead of actually assigning? (Could such would-be assignments be locked for 60 seconds or so to give the user the chance to actually get the assignments shown?) After all, the page text starts with "Looks for exponents ...", not "Assigns exponents ...". |
1. How about adding a Help link to the page (and other similar pages)?
You know that real programmers never document anything, right?
2. How about adding a button for just looking at what would have been (or would be) assigned, instead of actually assigning?
 My page just shows a list of available assignments, which you can copy-paste into Prime95 (or similar) and the assignments will then get assigned to you (if available). I don't have any magic powers of reservation to actually reserve or create assignments. |

We had our fun, but need to be more responsible nowadays.
 My page just shows a list of available assignments, which you can copy-paste into Prime95 (or similar) and the assignments will then get assigned to you (if available). I don't have any magic powers of reservation to actually reserve or create assignments.
Oh ... so it's the text on the button, not at page top, that's [strike]misleading[/strike] too easy to misunderstand IMO. |
Oh ... so it's the text on the button, not at page top, that's [strike]misleading[/strike] too easy to misunderstand IMO.
Sorry, I still don't think I follow. What text on the page and/or buttons is misunderstanable?
Sorry, I still don't think I follow. What text on the page and/or buttons is misunderstanable?
On the button: "Get best assignments"
But it doesn't "get" or "actually reserve or create" any assignments. Better would be "List exponents available for best assignment" |
On the button: "Get best assignments"
Easily changed -- it now says "Get best available exponents".

Thank you!

This is probably a really silly/nooby question, so I am sorry in advance.
I am doing a bunch of P-1 under the impression that it is what the project needs the most. However, I notice I am getting assigned a lot of P-1 over 60000000. Isn't that really quite far ahead of where the LL testing is? Is P-1 not really an issue anymore, or is something else happening? Right now here are some of the P-1's I am assigned: 60171019,60171113,60211537,60282577,60284299,60284681 I am just curious. Thanks! |

If you want to focus on these, take test assignments and manually edit them into P-1 assignments. |
