First success of Primo 3.0.6 - special
This version found a point at TEST 4 , RUN 5 , index= 104336 ("last rail") and jump to TEST 5.
Primo 3.0.6 don't found a transition to Test 5
Status: after 60h , Test 7 , RUN 1..4, 29553/29728 bit.

Status on my proof:

Elapsed time: 553 hrs
Phase 1/Test 95/Run 1/Bits 22762/24911

An updated estimate using the better exponent of 4.86 vs. 5:
553 hrs / (1-(22762/24911)^4.86) = ~1558 hrs or ~65 days

I like that estimate better than the original 77 days. :-)

With 553 hrs already expended, that means ~1005 hrs or ~42 days are remaining. So the ETA would be about June 25th assuming no outages or other problems. Call it June 30th.

My Status: 29382/29728 : TEST 12 , about 100h
Estimate time: 72 - 4 = 68 days left !

BTW, number auf TEST total is about dezimal digit / 6.5-7. I will have 1400.
And estimate time for Phase 2 is 16% of Phase 1.

ET_ 2009-05-14 19:44

26279/26796, Phase 1, Test 19, Run 2, ECtest 73639. 164,5 hours.

Estimated total time 1821 hours or 76 days, 69 to go...

Norman, PLEASE let me have at least ONE day of RECORD holding before claiming yours...

Luigi, for a screen shot ? :-)

Gary, I wonder:
If I take
252h 24190/24911 and
552h 22762/24911

I get for the formula elapsed time * (1 / ( act bit / total bit ) ^x)

x= 12,89

That's perhaps an easy number. Phase 1 finished in 800h, or left time in 300h ( 2 weeks ) :-)
I reckon there are rare backtrackings in the past time.

Speaking about backtracking, I noticed that the "26279/26796" and the "Test 19" values rolled back this morning: I am at 26302/26796 ancd Test 18 (run 2) now.

So strange...

Is it for you a good or bad sign ? I told, make a copy from the last tmp-file.
So you can compel another RUN on a seperate task.

If you have pitch, so PRIMO roll back to TEST 17 ... make now a copy from TEST 18.

BTW , when you look at the end of the tmp-file you see the parameters rn= and pm=
rn is the last RUN and pm is the index where PRIMO jump from previous to the actual TEST.

Cybertronic 2009-05-16 18:25

Status after 150h: TEST 22 , 29030 / 29728.
Note, it is possible to begin Phase 2 during Phase 1. So is Phase1 and 2 ready to the same time. Interesting for quad or duo core users !

Cybertronic 2009-05-21 06:10

New Status
after 11 days :
Phase 1 Test 36, 8617 digits left
Phase 2 Test 1-16 done

Cybertronic 2009-05-25 11:50

Addition:

I'm now after 15 days at TEST 50 (28085/29728). Phase 2 TEST 1..37 done.

Using 4 cores the estimate time is only 10% of the estimate time by using 1 core.

So when you work correct, so it's possible to certify a 10k number in 5 months.

best
