I have now confirmed Engracio's prime, and am running a second verification on Luigi's.

Started a new run after dechecking "Check signature only".

I see that Luigi's prime is now listed as 19th, and Norman's last prime is listed as 16th on Chris Caldwell's Top 20 primes proven by ECCP:
http://primes.utm.edu/top20/page.php?id=27
Of course, when Norman's current prime finishes, and gets listed at 7th (assuming nothing larger is proven in the meantime) these two will be pushed down a notch.

Way to go!

At this time , Mike Oakes test also a gigantic PRP and he is on Phase 2.
I believe , my is a little bit larger

Since Juli 2008 he run PRIMO on a single task. It is a race between 2 huge PRPs, but Friday this week I'm done .

Theoretical, I can prove 2^38090+47269 in 180 days, but not yet.

Yeah, you don't believe it !!!!!!!

The monster number is now proven prime !

Read more details at page

Elapsed time only 119 days.

all the best

Norman

119 days! That is fantastic, but of course it required a lot of work from you in addition to computer time. Congratulations, Norman!

Nice job Norman!

Now I'll be on the last place of Caldwell's database...

Maybe, the number "2^38090+47269" we can't certify with PRIMO.
Now I'm on RUN 6 delta=-45000.

Norman I've decided to try your method and I just need to clarify a few things.

I am on Test 228 and have copied all the files to folders Primo1, Primo2, Primo3. I change the *.temp file and ar=1 for run 1, ar=2 for run 2 and ar=3 for run 3. I also change ap=1 for each run if I wanted to start from index 1.

When one of the run completes to the next test, here it would be Test 229. I would then stop all other run and copy the *.temp to folder Primo1 to start run1 on Test 229, run 2 on folder 2 and run 3 on folder 3. Is that good so far???

Yes Engracio.
But also using a Editor ,like Excel, and memorize from TEST 228 the 3 index numbers of RUN 1,2,3, because you find easier the latest position for a manual backtracking.
Save the new tmp file in another directory like "C:\back\" and copy *.tmp to *.228_18791(bit) or so, if TEST 229 a failure.

When you download the record certificate (10099ecpp.zip) then you get my logbook in ecxel. I think this is very useful.

What is the purpose of saving the index and how? How do I save the index? Is it after one of the runs i.e. run 3 found the next test, do I save the index of run 1 and run 2 before stopping it and going to the next test found by run 3???

I do that now, make sense, it will let me go back to a known test in case the new one is a dead end.

What is a delta? Also I tried to use one of the core to run Phase 2 but it seems to just set there. When I took off the " - " on test 1, it jumped to test 2 bypassing test 1.
