Would you mind running a benchmark for me
I just ran the benchmark and it has been submitted to PrimeNet - let me know if you need anything else. |
I just ran the benchmark and it has been submitted to PrimeNet - let me know if you need anything else.
.... yes, the benchmark results -- I am not PrimeNet
You can post here, or in the Perpetual Benchmarks thread or email to me, whichever you like best. |

A lot of good work has been done on the first 1000 expos. |
One of the first one hundred just got cleared. It was a nice surprise when I looked in my result log.
One of the first one hundred just got cleared. It was a nice surprise when I looked in my result log.
Nice. I picked off one of the first 200 recently. I have been trolling primenet for the lower expos to hit.

I continue to troll for the lower expos and snag them when I can. |
We recently got a kill in the first 100. Progress is still being made. Now have 6 cores working on the lowest expos that are available. I will be away from the net for several days (including the 20th.) I will post an update later.

Here is the bi-monthly status report for the range from 332192831 to 332399999
Date of data 12/21/2009 Average bit depth for first 100 expos 74.27 Average bit depth for first 1000 expos 72.52 100th active expo (no factor found) 332198029 1000th active expo (no factor found) 332242819 Unitless total effort number 9964800 Number of first 100 expos to 2^72 94 Number left in range 4442

Bit # at bit level 68 1298 69 1264 70 1072 71 139 72 167 73 105 74 72 75 261 76 32 77 32 P-1 48
The first 1599 expos are up to 70. All expos out to 332,599,937 are up to 67. In the 332,000,000 range 56.19% of all expos have been "factored out". That is by far the best percentage above 100,000,000 |
I've been noticing that there exponents still showing up in the first 100 with no progress. The server has been serving these up as available for testing, if there are no reports back. I currently will only take a exponents in the first ~150 to 74 or 75 max. If anyone else want to troll for ones to P-1 or take higher, here is a handy link:
http://v5www.mersenne.org/report_factoring_effort/?exp_lo=332192831&exp_hi=332249999&bits_lo=74&bits_hi=76&txt=1&exassigned=1&B1=Get+Data Expect a full status update in Feb. |
Currently I have 11 expos below 332199999 assigned to me, including 7 out of the last 9 which are at 71- or 72-bit level only. My Xeon server has 2 cores assigned to this work and all of them will be released at 75-bit level as usual.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to move them up just one bit level each at a time in round robin fashion, unless I start to manually edit the worktodo file daily which is not possible due to my constant travelling. So especially the higher expos might not show progress for some time but all of them will be completed in 2 months time. I could dedicate another one or two cores to these expos if there is any real need for speeding up but there is definitely no need to start trolling! |

All's cool. I am only picking up exponents that the server says are free (which is what the link that I included is for.) |
