Mersenne Memorization
 

How many Mersenne Prime exponents have YOU memorized?

It's not very likely that every electronic and printed record of the list
of exponents should be simultaneously corrupted, resulting in a loss of
a lot of work, but just in case ...

Well, just out of curiosity, how high can you reliably recite the list?

I currently know the following off the top of my head: 2, 3, 5, 7, 13, 17, 19, 31, 61, 89, 107, 127, 521, 607, 2203, 9941, 11213, 44497, 6972593, 13466917, 20996011, 24036583, 25964951, 30402457, 32582657, 37156667 and 43112609.

Is somebody working on casting a sequel to the [I]Rainman[/I]?

Thanks for motivating me to watch this movie. Even considering the low budget, the movie was weak. But the story was good enough to shine through a bad adaptation to the screen.

Which then is followed by the actual Mersenne primes themselves. I have a similar file for the perfect numbers, and, yes, the first ten million digits of PI.

Don't all Mersenne primes (and all numbers) appear in Pi somewhere?

Not knowing what a Fermation is, I searched but only found "Fermatian" which apparently is an alternative name for a Poulet number, a Fermat pseudoprime to base 2. Is that what you meant?
