C443 server issues on 4th drive
not getting anything out of port 443.

Check your firewall settings, Anon, Glenn and Jokern are receiving. They already processed up to 600.5k. Are you using linux or windows? The server is getting a result every 30 secs. |
Gary just took and run one candidate to see if the server was running...lol
I think it's better to reserve more work for this server.
LMAO; actually that was to see how fast we were processing the server. In a few hours, I'll move 2 quads over to it. As it nears its completion to n=605K, I'll move them over to port 7000. Bruce, for this drive, Ironbits port 7000 has not been loaded yet. One think you might check: The GUIport in llr-clientconfig.txt. If you copied all of your port 400 folders over to separate folders for port 443 and just changed the server ID and port but didn't change the GUIport, it won't run if the port with the same GUIport is currently runing on the same machine. I've had that happen several times when I started to run a new server while also running a current server on the same machine. On my quads, I just have GUIports 6996-6999 for port 300, 6992-6995 for port 400, 6988-6991 for port 5000, and shortly will have 6984-6987 for port 443. That way, I can mix-and-match ports that I want to search on any one machine. Gary |
Carlos,
Like Bruce, I am now having trouble connecting to your server. I ran the test that you saw this afternoon and I ran another test just an hour ago and was able to connect. But when I went to put my quads on it, no luck. I wonder if this is a problem for LINUX machines trying to connect to your server. My 2 earlier tests were on a Windows machine but my quads are Linux. I also think that Bruce has Linux machines. Please check on this. We must have a stable server. I'm going to port 7000 for now with the 2 quads. Gary |

My problem was a minor inability on my part in being able to spell correctly. |

No, it has to be a server issue. Now I can't connect on my Windows machine earlier. And I just now realized that the 2nd little test on that same Windows machine could not send its result. It received the k/n pair fine but the server must have had a problem by the time it tried to send it because the pair is still in my 'tosend' file. I just now tried to send it again...no luck. The pair I'm trying to return the result on is 257*2^601266-1. It's official...I am unable to connect to port 443 from any machine. But I CAN connect to Ironbit's ports 400 and 7000 from all machines with no problem! What gives? Edit: This is the exact same kind of issue I encountered in the 1st couple of rallies that we had here. A lot of people would be connected to a server and I would attempt to connect at the last minute and I could not. It always meant that there were more people on the server than the server could handle. This is something that needs to be investigated. I've tried about 5 times now over the last 15 mins. to connect to C443 on different machines with no luck. If this continues to be a problem, we'll have to have Ironbits host 2 servers for the drive and use C443 only for a smaller # of users on rallies or something. Gary |
Maybe it's a windows server issue.

Can you tell how many cores are connected to port C443 right now? |

About how frequently is a k/n pair being returned? |
| All times are UTC. The time now is 06:02. |
