Programmer's Day

It would have been nice to have The Numbers announced on the Programmer's Day. But alas, this day has come and gone. Without a single notice!
Just a suggestion... The way the announcement is phrased on www.mersenne.org, it is not clear which verifications are for which reported prime.
It's clearer now.

It's still Sept. 14 (just past 9 pm) in Florida. Unfortunately, we may have to wait until George Woltman wakes up on the morning of Sept. 15, which could be 17 or more hours away.

I think he updated mersenne.org on Friday, but it still says:
We are working on finding a suitable press outlet.

So, we may have a little more waiting to do. It's driving me crazy though. I joined* GIMPS after the announcement of M45, and have turned in one LL test (and tomorrow will be turning in my second) since joining, and I still don't know what M45 is!

*(note: re-joined GIMPS would be more accurate, since I had participated '99-'02).

According to George's plans, the new primes should be announced today. :showoff:

It's 9 am in Flroida. George Woltman should wake up soon, if he hasn't already.

Over here it is already Tuesday.

Waiting waiting, sigh.

Last sentence in announcement of M45 and M46 says "....early this week", and not "today".
Maybe that means tomorrow (Tuesday).

Congrats Tony. You beat me on the second one, I didn't have enough horsepower to keep up with you if we both started at the same time. Luckily you were on vacation when the first one was found.

So have you finished the second verification?
