Well, now we know that the fake residue was definitely applied to something besides the real M45 (and that all three of those computers are stable).

Its not M32428427...

That's strange. It has been said many times before that a fake residue is created for the reported Mersenne prime and then swapped with the residue of some other exponent. But there is no exponent whose residue was reported as 2648A8AD8385FF48.

Maybe this would help... Does anyone know the true residue of M29225803?
