Forum+Weekends=Dead Forum on Weekends?

Ok, just as an obvious observation :) , the forum seems to stagnate on Saturdays and Sundays :shock: . Odd :confused: ... i figured that everyone would come on the weekends due to more time off or not having to deal with JoeBob at work :confused: . Maybe everyone sleeps the weekend except me? It gets boring out here working the weekend shift with no one to talk to :( .

I guess we must all have really boring jobs.

Or maybe people don't like to use the cycles on their home machines becase they are all running GIMPS, but wait until they get to work and use the boss's cycles to read the forum.

I find the main time I can post is the weekends due to this horrible thing called homework that they like to give us every day.

Edit: Note that today is a Holiday in the US, so I get a bonus day to post.

In my case, I'm pretty much on at least once a day, sometimes twice when I get bored enough.

I don't work any day.

:shock: Oh NO! It's Worse than i thought :) ! Odd... This weekend was not that sluggish.

Especially if people who run laptops that aren't connected permanently to internet connect only when their owners have time (weekends)

I suppose the other possibility is that some of the people in this forum have got what I believe is known as a "life". According to people I've chatted with who know about these things, quite a lot of "life" seems to happen on the weekends. :geek:

That is a good assumption. Why didn't I think of that :) ?!

But, maybe some people go visit Mars for the weekend and the latency up there is so high that they always time out when they try to log on to the forum.
