Rieselsieve down?

Does anyone know details about www.rieselsieve.com being down? I don't think I have been able to reach either the main site or the forum for a couple of weeks.

I had read somewhere that they were moving the servers. I did not know when they expected to be back online.
....- the problems with the servers is that Lee (the project head) had to relocate everything because he's moving. As of 8 hours ago, he was quickly moving them to their new location, but we haven't seen or heard from him since then.
....- it was planned for later this summer(the move), and it was supposed to take a short (30 min) time. I'm not sure what the hold up is, unfortunately, at this time
That's a few weeks old, but maybe related.

Also, from Google, "Project News June 25 Over the past few weeks, we've had a number of database related issues, partly due to higher loads, partly due to software crashes, and others partly due to ... " links to a page on rieselsieve.com which is obviously down at the moment.

Hmm...did you send it to their "b2 [at] rieselsieve [dot] com" address? That seems to have fallen into disuse--neither I, nor anyone else I've heard of has gotten a reply from that address within the last couple of years. I believe the preferred method is now to send a PM at their forum--though, with the forum down too, maybe they are for once checking that email box.

No, I send the "mail" via the sob forum.
I will check ...

It has, indeed, been down for a very long time. Since Lee is not available, we can't ask him what's going on.

Some of the theories suggested include jail, death, and that he discovered aliens while running SETI, so the aliens abducted him to keep him silent.;)

Another popular one is that something has happened that's not good, and he decided to just move to a different online identity rather than fess up.

I have not got a reply from Lee yet.
Does someone know the status of the tests?
More importantly, does someone have a recent dat file???

Thx

On the Primegrid frontpage there is the quote:
Basically, the project creator has disappeared. People have been in contact with him, but we haven't heard any resumption date or even if things will resume. For the time being, I'm focusing my efforts on getting the non-BOINC side of the project up, as it is far easier and requires far less resources. We do not have access to any of the databases or we would have been able to restore things even without the project creator.
I hope there was at least some backup policy in place. H.
