Sierp 37 complete n=100K-200K. Nothing found. Results emailed
Base released |
I would like to reserve R39 all k's <200000 to n=25K
I have attached the source to srfile.c. Use this to rebuild the srfile application. With this mod -d will take either a sequence or a file. The file should be the same format as pfgw.log, one prime/PRP per line. In case anyone hasn't noticed the -d option never required the exponent to be a specific value, re, n, so using this:
srfile -d 123*456^789+1 srsieve.out has always been perfectly acceptable.
Geoff has integrated my changes into srfile. You can d/l it from here, http://sites.google.com/site/geoffreywalterreynolds/programs/srsieve |
That's so true.
I'll reserve the rest of the Riesel-Base 36 pairs. Reserved Pairs: <snip> (Includes my reserved pairs, and excludes the pairs reserved by others and the one with n=500k I generated a Sieve file for 25k < n < 500k and started sieving. My plan is to sieve until finding a factor takes longer than a LLR-Test. After needing longer for an LLR-Test than finding a factor I'll restart sieving and so on. The worst case could be that I can only provide sieve files for this candidates up to n=500k- Progress will be posted.
Rincewind, I missed removing k=93432 from the Riesel 36 list on the pages when Serge found the prime shown in this post. You can remove k=93432 from your sieve file. You should now be sieving/testing the remaining 74 k's. Sorry about the omission. Gary |

R42 primes
10923*42^61071-1 7658*42^79316-1 34 k's remaining at n=80K, continuing. R55 sieve Sieving for 12 k's to n=100K is done and sieve file (-G format) attached. Sieved to P=3.3T which should be sufficient for the whole range. |

S35 complete to n=25K.
63 k's eliminated, 562 k's remaining. Primes for the last range are attached. Results for the whole range can be found HERE I've sieved for a larger range so I'd like to keep S35 reserved and take it a bit further. I'll do a couple more 5000n ranges before posting the rest of the sieve file and release it. |
S55 status
A few primes early on:
2010*55^26234+1 3886*55^27868+1 4360*55^29655+1 4 k's remaining at n=75K, continuing. |

Note that since the recommended range is now completed that I've moved all related S35 posts to this thread. That is how I do all of the recommended efforts so that we have references to historical info. as needed in one place. I now have an official announcement: CRUS has reached a significant milestone: All Riesel bases < 39 with a conjectured k of < 1G are now fully searched to n=25K. All Sierp bases < 40 with a conjectured k of < 1G are now fully searched to n=25K. We only need to search S40 from n=15K to 25K to complete all Sierp bases < 51 with a conjectured k of < 1G to n=25K. It is in the recommended thread. Taking that one step further, the completion of S40 to n=25K would complete ALL k's <= 1M that are below a conjecture to n=25K for all Sierp bases < 51! To clarify the last statement: S3, S7, and S15 have had k<=1M already searched to n=25K. When S40 is at n=25K, all other bases besides those will have been fully searched to n=25K. This has been nearly finished off just in the last 2-3 months with nice efforts from Karsten, Max, and Vmod on tough bases R35, S35, and S39. Great work everyone! |

R88 completed to n=50K.
Primes: 1932*88^44406-1 3917*88^48675-1 4356*88^34395-1 4538*88^42812-1 7667*88^30768-1 8667*88^42403-1 9647*88^45274-1 ...and bonus prime 1932*88^48750-1 Base released. Gary, if you really need residues, I can send the file (~500Kb zipped) via email. |
Reserving S72, 100k - ?
Sieve for S33, 300k-400k should be available in a few days. I won't be reserving this. |
