Reserving R63 to n=25k (15-25k) (59.2153-74.8169M) for BOINC

Anyone can dld a 240MB torrent AND pass it to Gary in a more direct/different way? If so, PM me to pass you the torrent file.
We have trouble transferring the R66 primes to n=2k from me to him, due first to the size of the file, then second to the fact that neither me or him like to install things on our computers (like dropbox manager or that stuff) and we don't use the same sites for uploading/downloading files. Actually, I have no idea where I can drop 240MB without paying or doing a lot of work, installing stuff in my computer, and/or giving unnecessary personal data to those sites. I use to share gigabyes of torrents with my friends (pictures, movies, etc) and it is very convenient, one can download whenever he likes, the files are on my hdd, not on the clouds out there, no speed restrictions, if one file is dld-ed by more people then the speed increase, as new dld-ers will get chunks from all participants, etc. Unfortunately Gary is not using torrents, his terms are not good for me, and I want to get rid of it (the responsability, the file I still keep ). If anyone can pass him the file, or offer to host it till he can get it easier, and can dld a torrent, then pass me a PM to give you the torrent file. |

You can easily upload and share a file of several Gigabyte in size  ... if you don't have a Gmail, I don't see any reason you can't create a google drive account. If you have a Gmail already, then you also have a google drive account in your app list  |

It doesn't require any additional software. 2) Use 7z to compress instead of .zip. 3) Break into manageable chunks. |
Google drive is not an option, sorry. I have a gmail accont, but no thanks.
I am trying senspace right now, but I am skeptical, after they asked me for different 5 mail addresses with the motivation "this provider might block our mail, please provide a different email address". Fortunately I have enough of those. At the end I got a mail from them and replied for confirmation, started the upload and it says it needs about 2 days to finish. Hopefully the internet will not crash in this time, it is never "on" continuously for so long, especially during rainy season. I have no idea about their upload resume policy. Edit : sendspace already uploaded about 6% and the ETA decreased to about 4 hours and 45 minutes, this may be doable! |

Care to elaborate on that opinion? It is completely safe to use google drive, it works more stable than any other filesharing webplaces, the file is in your google drive as long as you decide for it to be (hence the file never expires), with google drive you can also choose only to share a certain file with certain users. Sorry, but I just don't get why Google Drive is not an option, so very much looking forward to be seeing your reasoning :) |
sendspace crashed at 80%. Good part: it was faster, it only took about 2 hours to reach those 80%. Started again.
Going to sleep now (~23:15 here). Hope to get a link tomorrow morning. |
