How about R63? :max:
If you have a sievefile for me I will try it on BOINC. |
Reserving R66 (officially).
I already started (around Dec 20, 2014) with it, in a computer where due to thermal problems I can't run P95, and till now I took the first 40M k's to n=1k (there are about 160k k's remaining from this). I am going to finish all to 1k, then take the remaining k's in order to n=2k, 5k, 10k. I am using the standard "start base" script (gave up my own tools for this step, it seems pfgw was faster or more convenient to use). It may take the whole year 2015 to finish, I will report if I change my mind or run out of resources. |
Who wants a piece of R63?

3738 primes for k <= 13116694 and n to 25000 for R63. Taking a break.
Mark, I am maintaining the reservation for you on R63. Let me know if you want to officially release it. If so, is it possible to send me the sieve file for k>21.35M n=15K-25K ? I will post it on the reservations page if possible. Gary |

Once I know that I'll start sieving. |

OK since your plan is to not test it and I don't show sieving-only reservations, I'll release it. I'll show it reserved when Reb officially does so for BOINC. |

Provide me with any good start sieve file, the rest I will setup. |

Okay. I'll start sieving tonight. It might be a couple weeks or longer before I have a file ready for you. |

Just a note to save you a lot of time when you start the BOINC effort for R63: I do not need residues for n<=25K. Primes only are sufficient. |

It will be about 2 months before I have a sieve file with 27000 k in it. I discovered that sr2sieve crashes on Windows (for unknown reasons) with the abcd file I'm using. I've recompiled with a bunch of compiler options, gotten the latest compiler, even tried 1.8.10 (Geoff's last version) to no avail. I'm sieving on my Macs.

Why not process, say, 1000 k at a time? According to Gary, there is no speed improvement beyond a few hundred k's in a single sieve. |
