Taking 986-998 (6 files)

Now with the reintroduction of k=257 from n=1m, perhaps we should reduce the file sizes?

Yes, we'll switch to 1k test files from n=1M.

Kosmaj-
I have a few machines coming free this week, and would like to reserve a 10k block of the 1M+ area. Can you email me 1000-1010, rather than spending the work to make and post 10 files?

With McDuck's sizable effort boosting our progress, we made it from 800k to 1M in roughly 2 months. If we keep up a similar workrate going forward, we'll make the end of the sieve at 1.4M by 1 July 2009. I imagine progress will slow a little from this pace, but it's fun to project...

The first group of test files featuring mega-bit numbers is now available for download. I asked Curtis to take care of 998-1000, and sent him 1000-1010k files.

k=257 is now included again in test files. It has been already tested to n=1M by AES and Curtis.

Happy hunting!

What happened with 972-974? Are you still testing it, or have you just forgot to include it in your post?

Still testing. The core running the test was off most of the week while I was traveling...
