Test files from 860k will be posted shortly with k=257 removed. If somebody wants to help testing k=257 please post you intent here or mail me. After we reach 1M we'll include 257 back into test files.

The reasons are explained here.

Thanks,
Kosmaj

834-836 will be completed soon. Taking 856-858.

New files from 860k are uplaoded. We are testing k=257 separately and therefore test files are a liitle bit smaller than before.

Happy hunting!

Just a heads up; Becuse of problems with temperature on my Q6600 (2x llr.exe = 85C (50% load, no overclock (actually i had to underclock it)), i have to discontinue most of my scanning (4 cores) for the time beeing. My ranges will be delayed by several days (Estimated delivery for new CPU + Watercooling kit is 3 days).

I still have 2 cores on another box scanning

McDuck-
What makes you think your temps are 85C under load? What temp do you have at idle? Many MB temp sensors/windows displays overstate CPU temp by 15C or more. If your idle temp is 55C or higher, one of two things is occuring:
You have misaligned the CPU heatsink, and it's a wonder the machine has lasted this long; or your motherboard is overstating temperature by quite a lot.

Idle temp with a good (better than stock Intel) heatsink should be around/under 40C. It is likely your load temp is overreported by a similar amount as your idle temp.

Also, if you are not getting any errors when under full load, you have a strong indication that the temp reported is in error. 85C is high enough the CPU might be throttling- if 2xLLR takes the same time per test as 1xLLR and you have no errors, you have a phantom heat problem and should not be worried.

PM me if you have any followup questions, and/or google your motherboard model and "temperature monitor" or similar.

846-848 complete. no primes.

mcduck, good luck getting the temps under control. I've had better results and more maintainability using high RPM air coolers than I have had with water cooled systems.

The water cooling systems work great, sometimes unbelievably great, but need closer monitoring. Using distilled water and a maintenance additive (of your choice) will produce the best results. Also take great care when physically moving a box with a water cooled system.
