Stuttering towards a milestone
I was looking forward to observing that all exponents
below M40(?) were undergoing double-checking. Unfortunately Primenet underwent a hiccup a couple of hours ago. The countdown went backwards. |
As far as I can see, there is only one exponent below M40 that has not been checked once (result of queries). There are 15546 exponents to be double checked before proving 20996011 to be M40.
Below 17000000 only three exponents need double checks even if one user is doing a "first time test" on a number that has been verified already. Curiously the number was assigned on 2008-05-24. Probably the user requested the number and PrimeNet V4 did not check its status... Jacob |
Perhaps there are several versions of the truth:smile:

Can't wee why I posted that remark now. The
previous post was not attempting to contradict me: simply providing more detailed info. THX Sxxxxxx - wish you had adopted a more memorable username:smile: Meantime the DC wavefront has passed 21,000,000 now. |
Well, memorable or not, he signs his messages as Jacob...

THX Kees.
Not my finest few hours. Nul points for observation:smile: |
| All times are UTC. The time now is 22:35. |
