Team Creation?
 

I Can't find anything on this subject in the Forum.

How is a New Team Created? I typed the team name in front of my username as in instructions. My User Stats are showing up in User Stats, but the team hasn't appeared in Stats. Are the teams added automatically? If not, please Add X Grubbers Kick Ass - KAMCOBILL founder to the list.

I'm not sure, but it looks to me like the spaces in the team's name could be giving AES's team code trouble. Welcome to NPLB.

Thanks. I was thinking that too. It looks Like it in stats now without spaces. I was going to use the Underscore to sepreate the team name but not sure how that would effect Username.

The problem is not the spaces in the username, but just that users have to be added to teams manually be either me or Adam.

I see Adam has added you to your team now--you should now see your team listed in the team stats. :smile: (The reason why it's without spaces is because that's the way Adam apparently added it. All in all, it's probably better that usernames not contain spaces, though it isn't too big a deal if they do.)

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention: Bill, if you'd like to have the server automatically notify you by email of any primes you may find, just send a PM to either me or AES with your address, and we can get it added to the system shortly. :smile:

Cannot create team
 

Hello,

I'm new to this project but I have been in distributed computing for a while.
I'm a member of a team that is mainly into BOINC but I'm spreading resources over all sorts of projects that I think are interesting (like this one ;)

Can someone help me in creating a team called BOINC.BE and making my account a member of that team?

Er, that's the team creation page for the GIMPS project, not for NPLB. For NPLB, the process is as follows:

-Submit at least one result on one of our servers to get your name in the system.
-Post in our [url=http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=10826]Teams: Join a Team[/url] thread stating that you would like to join/create team x.
-One our our admins will see it and put you on the team in the backend.
