From 18000989 to 18297089, a jump of 296100. 18297089 has had two unmatching, non-suspect LLs run. Most of that list is the same scenario.
That is what I was looking for. Very impressive. And after two further exponents, it jumps to 18,444,733. Not bad at all!

18000989 95% done

Excellent news . This has you being done tomorrow? I cannot wait to see the big jump in DCs...

Yes, unless it finishes unusually quickly tonight
Yes, unless it finishes unusually quickly tonight
That brings us close to:

Countdown to testing all exponents below M(30402457) once: 85
Countdown to testing all exponents below M(32582657) once: 406
Countdown to testing all exponents below M(37156667) once: 1,169

and

Countdown to proving M(20996011) is the 40th Mersenne Prime: 512

All very close! After that...the milestones are no longer so close.

Edit: It also looks like only 17 more exponents before all below 19M have been double checked.

M18000989 finished :D

All exponents below 18,297,089 have been tested and double-checked.

All my assignments in the 25M - 30M range are now complete (as of the 1st)!!!

25 more in the 31-33 range completing in the next 2.5 months.

I am no longer actively seeking low LL assignments.

petrw1 2009-08-04 15:27

Just over 500 to go!!!!!!!

503 as of right now....though we are slowing down.
263 completed since July 1 (just under 8 per day).
But even at this rate 500 could take as little as 2 months.

I still have about 5%; all over 31M now and expected to complete by mid October.

I just have one exponent left that should be finishing within a week.

As we get closer to the end, if it's not too much work, it might be nice to have slightly more frequent updates (maybe every 1-3 weeks instead of every month). It would give a better idea of how quickly things are trailing off. Also, once there's fewer exponents left, we might want to start keeping track of them to possibly identify stragglers (and maybe prod them along, if it can be done in a polite manner). Unless nobody especially cares that much anymore, in which case, just ignore the above paragraph.

As long as they're making regular progress reports, they'll finish when they finish. Direct your attention elsewhere in the meantime. :-)
Also, once there's fewer exponents left, we might want to start keeping track of them to possibly identify stragglers
What's your definition of "straggler"? Any system slower than yours?
(and maybe prod them along,
... and just what would be the justification for prodding them -- other than to satisfy your impatience?
if it can be done in a polite manner).
... for what polite reason? ("I'm impatient for your slower system to finish its assignment" is not a polite reason.)
