Thanks for wasting my time and taking my credit.
I will at least get double check credit for the other five exponents, it seems...

Same here. Had some help with my 24 and 25Ms.

Would you still not have gotten DC credit for those you unreserved...or were they already?

Well, they were effectively triple checks by now. I didn't feel like investing several more GHz weeks only to come up with a result that won't tell us anything new.

I did actually choose to finish a single one of these tests - which is now at 95% - for the fun of it. Those I unreserved were all less than 40% done.

I'm currently double-checking exponents in the M216xxxxx range (two at a time on my dual-core), but I notice from the GIMPS Milestones Report:

All exponents below 18,000,947 have been tested and double-checked.
Countdown to proving M(20996011) is the 40th Mersenne Prime: 2,639

Is there any way I can reserve lower exponents to help finish the double-checking to M(20996011) more quickly? I'm able to knock off two exponents every two weeks or so and IMHO this is the best usage of my free CPU time.

PS: My Reliability, Confidence are 0.98, 6.0 - which certainly qualifies for "preferred exponent" status.

All exponents below 20996011 are currently assigned, so the answer is "not really".

One option you have is to watch for expirations. Most days at midnight UTC (server time) expired assignments are released and made available to "reliable" CPUs. If you watch for them and are quick you might be able to grab some, though it is unlikely there will be more than a few each time in the range you are interested in.

How long is expirationtime? I guess its since last update on exponent, and not since start.

We can't see last update date now that status.txt is gone.

Yes this is something I miss. Expiration time is 60 days but a few exponents seem to expire at midnight almost every day. I expect a surge on the 5th of this month.

All times are UTC. The time now is 06:02.
