Uncwilly: thank you for posting several portions of the Bible which laud Lot as a righteous man.

It's a pity that the exigencies of space and time meant that you were unable to include this verse (Genesis 19:8):

"See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”

Perhaps he suspected his daughters weren't up to any good. 19:30-38
Who ever the mod is that changed it violated this: http://mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=6400 at least in my point of view. Mocking someone like this is not kind.
I didn't change the avatar. Even so, I would not have thought the action contravened the rule to which you linked.

Personal experience: my tag line was changed to "Bedlam Bozo" some time back, something which could very easily have been taken as casting doubt on my sanity and / or intellectual capabilities. Instead, I took it as an amusing anagram of the prior (and subsequent) "Bamboozled". Xyzzy had his bit of harmless fun at my expense and I regarded it as a prima facie excuse to retaliate in kind at a time of my choosing.

This post I so I can go back and look at my avatar. While I remember not being offended by it, I've forgotten precisely what it was.

Edit2:Tbh, the offensive part is that Christians have had the symbol of the rainbow long before the homosexual community claimed it. It is said that the rainbow signifies God's promise to never again destroy the world with water. This is referring to the flood Noah had to deal with.

There are plenty of Christians that wish the gays would,"get a different damn symbol to represent their sexuality," if I may quote some people I've talked to.

I didn't know that.
It reminds me of the moans from some people that the word "gay" has been hijacked to mean something other than what it used to mean some fifty years ago. On an episode of "Little Britain" a few years ago (we get plenty of good BBC material here in NL), there was a wonderful piece introducing an item in Tom Baker's characteristic voice, lamenting the change in meaning of the word "gay". It went something like this:
"Gay used to be such a clean, wholesome word! I remember the days when you could talk about a gay town with a gay street, where you could find a gay bar, go in and meet a gay man, have gay sex ..."
Additionally, if someone is a Christian and rejects God's law about homosexuality, then they qualify as a homosexual even if they've never had urges pertaining to that.

This is similar to when a pimp sells a prostitute. The pimp is a prostitute, according to God's laws, because he approves of the prostitution.
This makes absolutely zero sense. That's like saying because you saw a person being murdered you're a murderer if you didn't stop it by default. That's illogical.

I Believe that this is the best answer to Pascal's Wager I have ever seen.
