No, no -- that's just one of my ways of responding, showing that I could say the same thing except for certain substitutions.

I'm sorry.

I've been doing that for years, but never before noticed that possibility of misinterpretation as you note. I'll try to be careful about that in the future.
There's no need for an apology. I've just been used to experiencing that with people who want to try to correct me by making my sentences say "the correct things" instead of what I did. :) Much Love!

Brian-E 2008-04-16 18:27

No.

Hmm, you haven't posted in this thread before. So let's ask you the rather obvious question:

Why not?

Besides the fact that, as a Christian, I believe homosexuality is a sin, it's just plain weird. I mean, think about it--it's really gross (really, you poop out of that hole!), not to mention that it's clearly not natural. Have you ever heard of any animals doing it? No, of course not. If it was the way things were supposed to be done, then wouldn't you think there'd be at least one other species out there that does it? And just look at all the diseases such as AIDS that spawned from it. Do you think that such diseases would spring out of a behaviour that human bodies were made to do? No, of course not.

So, if you think about it logically, it's just plain not the way the human body is meant to operate--the same way that humans aren't designed to eat rocks and dirt.

1. It has already been pointed out in this very thread that not all gay sex is anal sex.
2. So far homosexual activity has been documented in 1500 species according to wikipedia.
3. AIDS/HIV is believed to have spread from similar viruses common among various primates in central africa, but it was first documented in american gays.

The other type is just as "yuck".
2. So far homosexual activity has been documented in 1500 species according to wikipedia.
Do they actually have any proof of these animals doing that, or is that just based on subjective conclusions that the two animals supposedly "love" each other? And even if the animals actually did do such behavior, then they must have some sort of brain malfuction, because animals generally have natural instincts to stay away from unhealthy things.

Again, is there any hard solid evidence of it coming from animals? Or is it just a case of left-wing scientists who don't want to believe that an illogical behavior that has been a major issue for their political party is unhealthy?

There seems to be proof, judging from the references section on the wikipedia article. "love" isn't necessarily the right word, as we're not always dealing with monogamous species, but it is noted that for example the elephants formed more lasting homosexual relationships than heterosexual ones. Personally I can only remember having seen homosexual behaviour among sheep, but I think it was more like the homosexual behaviour associated with prison.

Of the political leanings of HIV-scientists I know nothing. It is however quite common for diseases to cross between species, take bird flu for instance. It has infected a few humans here and there, but it has so far not mutated into a form that can spread easily. The common cold I believe came from horses.

Oh yeah. A friend's two male dogs, for instance. There is LOTS of well documented evidence if you bother to look for it.

Now, has anyone actually caught them in the act, or have they just been seen nuzzling and hanging around together? Big difference.
