Hum. David, I don't see the link to all of the previous results files for all servers on your page. Did that get removed accidently? I use those from time-to-time to make sure that we didn't miss reporting any primes.

All links can be found in one location: http://stats.ironbits.net/statsnew/
Look under Current Status in the Menu on the left hand side
Both yours and mine are listed there.

Are you referring to http://nplb.ironbits.net/results/?C=M;O=D ? (which has never changed location)

I scan the live results.txt files for each server every 15 minutes for the auto-notify email function.
I scan the copies I make of those results.txt files for each server hourly to display on the web page.
I scan them once again at the midnight rollover, before I put them out into the above link for you to get at.

I think if there was a line in it that had a "!" character, one of those 3 scripts would find it...
but, it never hurts to look again, ya never know...
No no. The INTERNET response time is OUTSTANDING here in the apt. that we stay at in Vegas.

It's the remote-desktop thing where the response time is extremely poor. Otherwise I would have moved all port 5000 machines to port 400 by now. So far, I've only moved 2 of the 5 quads over. It takes me almost 10-15 mins. to move a full quad over, which includes time to clear out the current k/n pair and then return the other 4 in the cache to the server. (Max, I'm now caching 5 pairs all the time.)

Max, how is your response time when remotely accessing my machines?

Gary
Well, when I connect it's not too terribly bad, though it definitely is slower than sitting in front of the computer in real life. Still quite workable, though.

Hey you know, I just had a thought about something that could be making your connections be a lot slower than mine...can you send me a copy of the Perl script that I sent you a while back to launch the whole remote desktop thing on the client end? (I've got a copy of it, but I think I may have modified mine somewhere along the way.)

IronBits 2009-01-05 02:59

Your response time would be much faster if you learned ssh and did away with GUI stuff that sucks the life out of remote connections. :p ;)

No, I'm referring to the link to "all results files for NPLB" on the http://nplb.ironbits.net/ page. Where did it go on that page? All of a sudden, it is gone. Can you please put it back?

I'd rather link to it through there because when I am referring to that page is when I need it.

Gary

Ah, I see, said the blind man as he fell of the cliff.

It's the same page, same link as above Gary.
http://ironbits.net/images/samething.gif

Everything you see at http://nplb.ironbits.net/ is now inside the main body of http://stats.ironbits.net/statsnew/

But, I put it back in just for you so you will be sure to find it no matter what page you're looking at.

In fact, I liked the layout so much, I made it the same in both places, except I used the pretty blue background you like so much on http://nplb.ironbits.net .

Port 9000 is active, please go slowly when adding lots-o-boxen as I will be gone for 9 hours, so can't kick it if there is a problem.

MyDogBuster 2009-01-10 01:26

Looks like G3000 & G4000 are down.

It's Gary, we had no problems when he was out of town. LOL
