Okay, I just checked and it the G4000 server had crashed. I think I started it with the wrong binary last time (the one that was corrupted from before and kept on crashing), and to boot, I forgot to put it into the loop that makes it automatically restart whenever it crashes. Should be fixed now, though. :smile:

Okay, I'll run some on IB8000 for a bit and then move back. I'm a little leary of staying on G4000 with Gary heading out on a trip for 6 days.

Actually, you may as well stay on IB8000. As detailed in the sieving drive thread, that's our new high priority so that we can get as many primes for that new range into the top-5000 as possible before the 5000th place creeps up too much. :smile:

I'll get busy creating the hourly status pages for it like the other ports then :smile:

Here is what I think would be best for your cores after the n=350K-352K range is done on the new drive:

Put them on port IB5000, which is where I am currently.

I will then switch mine over to port IB400 or G4000. I'm trying to somewhat keep the drives at about the same n-range so will decide which one at that time.

Other people should not be affected by the problems with my server and being out of town and I hate to see you lose the processing time on your machines.

I have to think that all of the kinks are out of G4000 now but there is no use in risking it anymore. We've thought that several times now.

Let me know when you move to port IB5000 and I'll make sure mine get moved over to IB400 or G4000 within a day.

How long is n=350K-352K drive going to take? I thought we were going to n=355K. My current processing rate on IB8000 is 7000/day.

Just let me know where you want me.

No, just n=352K. Assuming that we also load n=351K-352K into the server, it should be done in < 4 days. The current n=350K-351K range will dry in < 2 days but I'm giving another 3 hours for people to post if they want manual files. We'll start n>352K after sieving is complete.

OK, if you don't mind the problems on port G4000, you can feel free to stay there. For all we know, it could run perfectly for months now. After all, we didn't have any problems for nearly 2 months up until the last week. (I'm not counting when my mobo shot craps. That definitely won't happen on the current very stable machine.)
