Carlos,

Beginning on Sat., can you report the current n-range that is being handed out by port 443 in the early-to-late morning your time once each day? I think you're usually on sometime then so I figured that'd be the most convienent time for you. I just now ran a candidate so no use to do it before late morning Sat.

That way, we can update the n-range for your server in the 1st post here without having to run a test.

Thanks,
Gary

Hey David, I noticed the new colors on the LLRnet status pages--pretty neat! :tu: One request, though: if it's not too much trouble, could you possibly set different colors for the different status pages--for example, green for nplb.ironbits.net, yellow for llrnet.ironbits.net, and blue for crus.ironbits.net? That would be kind of nice for telling the pages apart at a glance. :smile:

Ok by me, just have to find the time to dabble with it.
I'm thinking on how to best re-write the entire layout because I'd like to keep some stats in a flat file for daily numbers to be stored, then reproduced in a nice short table that can be updated hourly, like it does now, but with additional past days performance by each person (not to replace the nplb database efforts by no means)
I could go back to all white again :wink:
llrnet page won't do a background image for some weird reason, so I may just use colors instead of images...

The green is too dark for my old eyes. :smile: There's not enough contrast between the light blue links and the dark green background. Can you lighten the green to something similar to my CRUS pages here?

Thanks,
Gary

Got the same issue here. Carlos

Done. Made CRUS look green, NPLB blue. :smile:

Looks good to me! :grin:

Sorry to be a pain but...

The blue is too dark too. Can you lighten it up? That is make it a 'pastel' blue kind of like my CRUS pages are a 'pastel' green. :smile:

The contrast between the darker blue links that haven't been chosen yet and the background is almost non-existent.

To clarify: Before clicking on a link, it is dark blue, after clicking on it and returning to the page, it is purple. It's before clicking on it that it is hard to see.

Thanks,
Gary

There should be plenty of contrast to go around now. :wink:

David,

I noticed that the results where there is a prime contain a bit of a bug now. They don't have the word 'is' in them and they are missing the time it took to return the result. Karsten uses the term 'is prime' in some of his scripts so that is needed.

Also, your dates are coming out in inconsistent format. Some are in MM/DD/YY format and others are in DD/MM/YYYY format.

Here's a sampling of recent primes from your port 5000 page:

10/30/08 09:39:39]
327*2^552901-1 is prime! Time : 1688.0 sec.
user=sm5ymt
[10/30/08 15:44:45]
301*2^554825-1 is prime! Time : 1697.0 sec.
user=IronBits
[01/11/2008 06:33:33 PM]
315*2^564347-1 is prime! Time : 901.0 sec.
user=IronBits
[01/11/2008 07:21:16 PM]
349*2^564443-1 is prime! Time : 445.0 sec.
user=gd_barnes
[11/02/08 17:31:28]
301*2^566979-1 prime! Time : sec.
user=gd_barnes
[11/04/08 05:35:56]
371*2^571042-1 prime! Time : sec.
user=Flatlander
[11/05/08 15:10:07]
331*2^575199-1 prime! Time : sec.

You can see that the dates jumped from "10/30/08" on Oct. 30th to "01/11/2008" on Nov. 1st to "11/02/08" on Nov. 2nd. I think the date formats have jumped around like this in the past also. They seem to go from one format to another and then back again at random times.

Thanks,
Gary

Yes, I noticed it earlier in the week and it was pointed out to me by others in PM.
I'll try to find out what's going on with it this morning and see if I can nail down what the problem is.
Once Max finishes up converting my dos script to Perl, I think we should be good to go. :smile:
