where are the resultfiles for download from IB-servers?

AMDave 2009-08-21 11:54

Actually, that location contains all of the IB, GB, and CC result files, but does not include the BP, L6 and AS files, nor the GB-doublecheck files (coming)
When things cool off a bit I may get around to regenerating the BP, L6 and AS files from the database in the current format, for completeness.

what about some sub-directories like for each server or year/month?

only the last resultfiles for say 2 weeks listed like now, so you can download them easily.

PS: the are actually not downloadable!
i got a redirection to http://stats.free-dc.org/sitechange.html

Right you are.
I'll get to that issue in about 12 hours time.

gd_barnes 2009-08-24 03:52

Karsten,

I had the same problem with the results. I just Emailed Max and David about it. For the time being, I have changed the link in the 1st post here to http://nplb.ironbits.net/.

Thank link has good results files available for David's servers.

Eventually we'll get everything moved over from the ironbits to noprimeleftbehind web pages but there are still a few issues here and there. The biggest one being that I cannot upload updates to my CRUS web pages. Max and I have now Emailed both David and Dave about that.

At approximately 1-2 PM CDT (6-7 PM GMT) on Monday, I will be taking all GB servers offline for approximately 1-2 hours to add a UPS backup to my server machine. This will require a physical move from my basement to upstairs so that the modem will also be on the backup. This should prevent all power outages on my servers in the future. Since I'll be leaving on a business trip for a week on Tuesday, it's important to get it done before I leave.

My suggestion would be to check your machines around 5 PM CDT (10 PM GMT) and sometime again the next day to make sure that all cores have resumed running. I will make sure that the looping process is running that forces the servers to restart as a result of any crash shortly after having been unexpectedly stopped.

One thing that I should let everyone know if you haven't heard already: Over the next couple of months, all NPLB servers will be transitioning over to my machines from David's. Max, AMDave, and possibly Ian if he desires will assist in remotely maintaining them.

For this effort, in addition to the UPS, I have bought a new I7 and a new quad, the parts of which have been delivered but are not yet built. After returning from a business trip sometime after Sept. 1st, I will be getting those built with the servers to reside on the new quad. Sometime after that, I will be getting a static IP address set up on my line.

Once that is all done, the servers should be rock solid with virtually no outages. I'll run some stress tests on one of the servers using small k/n pairs (that test very fast) to see if they could handle a large rally with multiple cores in the future.

kar_bon & gd_barnes

The www.noprimeleftbehind.net menu link to the "All IB result files" page has now been corrected.

Access has also been restored to the crus pages.

Both items were tested before posting.

Have a great day.

My server machine has been moved upstairs and along with my modem and router are now connected to a UPS backup. I tested everything for 5 mins. with the UPS unplugged and everything still worked great. No more power outages on GB servers! :smile:

As stated previously, you might check your clients connected to GB servers in the next hour or so and sometime tomorrow to verify that they are all sending and receiving pairs OK. I checked all 3 GB LLRnet servers on one of my clients and they were sending and receiving fine. I didn't check the PRPnet servers.

The Email notification of NPLB primes may not be working correctly for some people. I have sent an Email to the Daves about the problem.

I have investigated.
All appears to be ok.
Detailed response sent to gary by email.

Just a heads up to everyone: Port G8000 is close to being dried. I'm guessing that it will dry out some time on Weds. We will not load anymore work into it for the time being. Eventually it will be loaded with a similar 6k-type effort for k=300-400 and n=1M-2M after sieving is done for that range.

After G8000 is dried, if you like this size of work, we have a very similar effort for our 6k mini-drive #2 for k=351, 355, 357, 361, & 363 on David's port 9000 that is currently handing out pairs at n=~915K and will also run up to n=1M. Here are the particulars:

Short identification: IB9000
server = "noprimeleftbehind.net"
port = 9000
k's: 351, 355, 357, 361, 363, & 365 (k=365 dropped at n=900K)

Drying out both of these servers will put us very close to completing k=300-400 up to n=1M.
