I just heard from David--the servers are back up again (he thinks it might have been an ISP issue of some kind, since none of the server stuff went down on his end). I confirm that they all work on my end, too.

We need more power in here. Thank you.
Soon I'll be starting 596-600. Gary, if you want you can send 570-596 to IB's server. After ending my ranges I'll run llrnet. Come on guys, let's finish this drive. Carlos EDIT: Strange, how come IB5000 jumped from 555k to 560k? Please look at the results file. Maybe this happened because the work added was not sorted by n range. |

Maybe this happened because the work added was not sorted by n range.
Darn; I didn't see that had happened. They were sorted correctly but 2 different files were sent; one by me and one by Max. I sent David 555k to 560k before Max sent the 560k to 570k range to him but he must have loaded them in out of order. I sent an Email to him verifying that he does, in fact, have 555k to 560k loaded in after 560k to 570k. David, if you can verify that is what happened, you don't need to change anything. So much for my prior statement about us almost being done with the 540k to 560k range. It'll be a while now as we'll have to wait until 560k to 570k is complete. In the long run, I suppose it makes no diff. so not a big deal. Carlos, once I move my 5 quads to this drive in ~3-4 days (per my PM to you), I'll send 570k to 590k to David. Edit: Due to the above issue, I created separate reserved ranges for port 5000 in post 1 of this drive; one each for n=549k-555k, 555k-560k, & 560k-570k. Max, in < 3 days, you should be able to process the n=540k-545k & 549k-555k results to me. Since Carlos will be done with 545k-549k by then, we'll at least be able to show completed thru n=555k. I changed my mind. (lol) I just now realized there wasn't a testing gap on the 1st drive so I'm now moving my 5 quads to port 5000.
Now reserving n=570K-590K for port 5000. All files have now been handed out on this drive. Gary |
545-549 done, 1 confirmed prime.

I'm doing now 596-600. Time per candidate increased by 11 % so this range will take me ~8 days to finish. Then I expect to start 592-596.

Our progress:
Average of last 5 days - 3.64k/day Average of last 3 days - 4.40k/day This will reduce because we lost Lennart despite that we are moving fast. |

I hope to have my 2 bad quads back and running by Tuesday. Right now, 4 quads running port 5000...6 after I get the bad ones working again. Gary |

Gary
Monday or Tuesday I will also add at least one duo core to IB5000, that's the machine I expect at my new work. Humm...I don't see Karsten on drive 1.... Carlos |
Max,
The first k/n pair remaining in port 5000 is now n>560K. Therefore, please process the results to me for n=540K-545K and 549K-555K. All results should be there. The next range that I'll suggest you do is n=560K-580K when the lowest k/n pair is above that range. n=555K-560K will be done at the very end of the server so we won't be able to fully complete n=540K-560K at PrimeSearch until a little later. Thanks, Gary |
6 cores going strong and steady /panting
