It was previously my experience that dropping a sequence would automatically update it. Maybe that has changed. Just hoping to save everyone a little typing. :-)

That is correct. A "drop" action automatically does an update. But only if the sequence was reserved. At least in one case for birtwistlecaleb that didn't work. The reason was that the reservation post ([URL="https://mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=602408&postcount=3654"]#3654[/URL])was edited after the reservation spider noticed it. A reservation itself does not trigger an update. So a quick PA: Do NOT edit your reservation post! Instead make a new one. The reservation spider only checks each post once. In some cases that means you have to wait until someone else posts a reservation to circumvent the posting restrictions of the forum. Currently the spider looks for new posts every 30 minutes starting at 10 minutes past the hour. |
