Prime95 on a cell phone
How long do you think it'll be until Prime95 can be installed on a Cell phone? I say one year.

A PDA would be a bit better in this task. See http://mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?p=38155. The most smart- and cellphones have 50 - 200 MHz CPUs. Next year they are maybe 20% faster. Such a scalar 200MHz ARM/MIPS based CPU has the performance of a 486 or slow Pentium without FPU. I don't think, this will work. Also you would have to recharge your phone every 3-6 hours.

This should be pretty easy to do. I can program in these formats, but I think a statistical program, that analyzes and displays your current home/work progress, would be a better idea.

I won't use my car to transport tons of sand from one place to another.
The progress visualization is a better idea. |
I was really just wondering how long it would be...not really how good it would be. I don't think phones are durable enough to run a LL test on. I'm just suggesting they probably will be soon. My phone allows me to play head-to-head tetris against friends :showoff::flex:.
