It prints a message, but doesn't give much in the way of details.
As a friendly reminder, since it's infeasible to post every change to yoyo's list here, always check that list before making your own reservation here, since it may change between when you want to reserve something and when the script was last run. |

The file contains currently 760 reservations.
I remove sequences from the file once they reach a length of 130. If I reserve new ones, should I post it here in addition to the file? yoyo |
How about 855090? I've reserved it a while ago.

I have added another post to fit these in. We now have space for 197 more reservations. |
Hmm, mysterious. I was sure to take all sequences with length 120 from Dubslows list. But now there are still some not reserved sequences with this length.
|
Hmm, mysterious. I was sure to take all sequences with length 120 from Dubslows list. But now there are still some not reserved sequences with this length.
If you say length do you mean "size" or "cofactor size" in the dubslow list? Also the information may be outdated because only 55 sequences are updated from factordb each hour. There are about 4000 sequences with a cofactor size < 120 right now. |
I mean size.
I wonder why in Dubslows list are some sequences with size 120 where I'm not listed as reserved. I don't talk about the factorDB update. I was sure that I reserved all. But anyway I might reserve them in future ;) |
Although since I brought it back up it now updates 55 sequences twice per hour (haven't bothered updating the page), I do believe the 3.5 day cycle time to refresh each sequence is the likely cause of this apparent discrepancy. You are indeed free to reserve any other sz 120 sequences as they appear
|
Do you mean, if a sequences has not gone through an update/refresh cycle, then the reservation may not get posted in a timely manner?
|
Do you mean, if a sequences has not gone through an update/refresh cycle, then the reservation may not get posted in a timely manner?
All reservations are updated every time the script is run, i.e. every half hour (up from the every hour I used to run it at). Only 55 sequences are updated from the FDB every half hour. That means that every sequence is updated approximately once every 3.5 days, even though all reservations are updated every half hour. So what I'm suggesting is that yoyo may have indeed reserved all the sequences my website reported at 120 digits, but since then either a) some sequences got updated size information and became size 120 after he reserved what he could, or b) that the sequence was indeed up to date at the time of his reservation, but his since made further progress making it size 120 (e.g. downdriver run and then abandoned by its previous reservee at 120 digits). |
While the date of the most recent update for each of the sequences in question would fit, a lot of them haven't had any progress for months if not years.
