There was a huge run of primes in a small range overnight on port 8000. 9 of them in < 7 hours; several of which folks have already reported. That's one of the greatest runs I've ever seen at such a high n-range. That was 9 primes in an n<1200 range. Rollin'!
One of them was by a new searcher: Zachariassen. It looks like we don't have an Email for him but I have sent him a PM. It took me getting off of port 8000 early last night before it had the big run. I cleared out all the primeless area. lol |

Congrats on finding a prime. Have you created an account at the top 5000 site yet ?
Yes but I do not see NPLB as a proof method. What should I use to submit the prime? |
Yes but I do not see NPLB as a proof method. What should I use to submit the prime?
no, the proof method is "LLR". also "Srsieve" and "PrimeSearch" have to be included. |
no, the proof method is "LLR".
also "Srsieve" and "PrimeSearch" have to be included.
Well I selected "LLR" but there is no "Srsieve" or "Primesearch" Do I also select other and type those in? |
first choose 'Jean Penné's LLR' as proof method
second, in the inputfield (where 'none' is displayed) insert 'PrimeSearch, Srsieve' and submit entry. |
first choose 'Jean Penné's LLR' as proof method
second, in the inputfield (where 'none' is displayed) insert 'PrimeSearch, Srsieve' and submit entry.
Note: with the recent changes, this will now be "NPLB, Srsieve" in the input field instead of "PrimeSearch, Srsieve". (That is, unless that hasn't been changed over just yet with all the behind-the-scenes stuff...) |
look here http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=156128&postcount=1 too.
'NPLB' will changed into 'PrimeSearch' for now! see here http://primes.utm.edu/bios/search.php for 'All Projects' |
Note: with the recent changes, this will now be "NPLB, Srsieve" in the input field instead of "PrimeSearch, Srsieve".
(That is, unless that hasn't been changed over just yet with all the behind-the-scenes stuff...)
NO!! Not yet. I will announce that and modify every existing place here in these threads with those instructions. Bottom line to create a new proof code, select Jean Penne's LLR and in the little box that says "None" enter WITH the comma and it has to be case specific: PrimeSearch, srsieve That's it. Gary |
Zachariassen found:
1445*2^558010-1 is prime Got 'er submitted finally after fighting problems with automatically entered passwords for quite a while. |
Note: with the recent changes, this will now be "NPLB, Srsieve" in the input field instead of "PrimeSearch, Srsieve".
(That is, unless that hasn't been changed over just yet with all the behind-the-scenes stuff...)
Select LLR I used "NPLB, Srsieve" in the field below and it gives credit to: Geoffrey Reynolds' srsieve (program) PrimeSearch (#518) : PrimeSearch (project) Correct? Edit: After gd_barnes posted posted "No!! Not yet" Could somebody please make up my mind which way to have it |
