Okay, my personal reservation list is not synchronized with rechenkraft. Could you set my reservations to the following?
16632 122688 213300 217656 315294 321860 337860 371720 375588 457020 746880 777762 796992 921336 960900 More precisely, could I have the sequences reserved to me that aren't in that list unreserved? Thanks. |
that aren't in that list unreserved?
I don't follow that particular phrase. Since the reservations are more or less tracked exclusively via Python bot, I would make a second post with those sequences, with the reserve or add or taking keyword as well. Any duplicates or those already reserved by others will produce an error email to the people who run rechenkraft, who may then manually intervene as necessary. After the bot adds all those sequences, you may then check to see what the page says, and drop any others still shown as reserved that you don't want. |
All of those sequences are already reserved to me. There are other sequences also currently reserved to me, those that aren't in that list. I wanted those sequences in that second group unreserved so that the sequences I listed would be the only ones reserved to me. Too much work? Since there's only one such sequence left:
Hmm. Although I'm not sure how the reservations became out of sync in the first place, what I can say is that the "bot" will certainly follow the commands we give it. Whatever discrepancies there are between rechenkraft and your own records, merely issue the right commands to correct rechenkraft, and the bot will execute them and then everything should be in sync. The only case that should require human intervention is if you/me/anyone tries to reserve a sequence that is already reserved, or conversely if someone else does the same to you (though the bot should notice and warn about such clobbering, and ignore the attempted "theft"). @Dubslow: Your reservation was rejected by the bot because you used "reserving" and "unreserved" in the same line. Thus it chose the latter.

The explanation and link are in the wall of text above the main data table on the website. Ctrl+f "Christophe" to quickly find the relevant paragraph. Edit: Specifically, the third paragraph under the "instructions" heading:
If you find a sequence you would like to extend, you should reserve it in MersenneForum.org's Aliquot sequence reservations thread; That's the source for the reservations shown in this table. Also note that if the sequence is less than 10,000, there's a good chance it's being worked on by Christophe Clavier. All such reservation requests should be emailed to him. Also keep in mind that his work may not be in the FDB (and thus not in this table). Sequences between 10,000 and 100,000 should also be checked further at MersenneForum, because this range was worked on by Clifford Stern. See this MF thread for more details about or to ask about the status of sequences in these ranges.
(The comment about 5 digit sequences is more or less irrelevant at this point) |

Christophe's page is at http://christophe.clavier.free.fr/Aliquot/site/clavier_table.html ; note it hasn't been updated for nearly a year and a quarter. My guess is that the sequences not marked as reserved to someone else on that page are reserved to Christophe. |

My best impression is that he controls all 4 digit sequences (other than those that PZ works on). If you want to do any 4 digit work, you must run it by him first. As you've discovered the hard way  |
I updated the reservations. Every 4 digit sequence should be reserved right now. I updated two sequences in factordb with data from Christophe all others where either better in factordb or the same.
