Overboard, indeed! So much electricity wasted for cooling, it's hard to justify leaving it on for long, or even using it for Prime work at all.

2145*2^1090281-1 is prime. 328211 digits.

It uses a total of 1400 watts, so, yeah, what you said.

I had to install a "buffer" -- thick foam rubber padding. The machine undulates as the compressor kicks in (by the way, it's a 1 horsepower compressor, not condenser like I said in the older post) and it would "migrate" about 6 inches per hour on the table. I finally have it nailed down.

Funny thing: The neighbors called the police on me. What is so funny is the nearest house is about 60 feet away. They said, in the complaint the officer read to me "Neighbor is apparently operating a hammer or banging something all hours of the night."

Ha!

So I showed the police officer inside, and his first reaction on seeing "the device" was to reach for his gun. I said "whoah, it's just a refrigerator cooler for the computer" and he made me walk 10 paces ahead of him.

It's sad, really, that we live in such times.

He left me off with a warning and said "Don't run it past 10 PM or before 10 AM"

Oh well.

P.S. It does run at 5.4 GHz when I am wearing the earplugs.
