927960 Merges

I seem to be very lucky:

My second reserved sequence finally also terminated.

534200 merges into 494194 after 2241 steps and reaches 7 after 2315 steps.

Quick, everyone! Hand over all your sequences to biwema -- he'll terminate them for sure

535536 hit 93 digits and then dropped to eventually terminate in a prime.
535536 hit 93 digits and then dropped to eventually terminate in a prime.
535536 is a merge with 3556 at index 1662!

Greebley 2009-09-11 11:40

Does that count as a merge, if 3556 eventually makes it to a prime?

No. Most all terminations will have a merge somewhere. Me thinks he was just happy with all the 3's, 5's and 6's

EDIT:- Or not. rieselprime.de lists it as a merge rather than a termination. Hmmm...

I've listed it as a termination - I think it should only be a merge if the sequence that it merges into is open.

But this would cause problems if someone found a merge, countinued working on the merged sequence, and terminated it...

...but luckily we haven't had that happen yet.
