Trouble with display
This evening one of the computers in my farm finished its first non-PrimeNet LL test (M56500021). Everything was working fine at this point. I had been wanting to put some RAM into that particular machine, so I turned it off, opened the case, and put in two 512MB sticks. Then the strangest thing happened: when I plugged it back in, I turned it on and the lights came on, but nothing happened with the display. I tried tightening the video cable, but that did nothing. I tried testing the video card by putting it into another computer, and now that computer is also down. What's going on here? Does this have something to do with putting in that extra RAM? Did I damage the motherboard somehow? Or did the video cards decide to quit?

I simply restored both computers to their earlier configuration, and now they are working fine. THe P4 booted up just fine after I took out the extra RAM chips. Could it be that some kinds of RAM chips just don't play well together?

yes that could be it could also be a bad pce of ram to test heres what u do take a machine remove all ram and insert each stick of ram one at a time when you boot sucessfully with one remove and try with another...
