Critical bug in Gnu MP FFT-multiply code

From Swox home page:

Critical bug in FFT multiply code

A bug in the FFT multiply code that can cause miscomputation has been found. Until we can provide a fix, and until we have performed extensive further testing of the code, all users are urged to recompile GMP using the configure option --disable-fft.

Does this mean that past and current results are suspect?

AFAIK

Prime95, mprime, seventeen-or-bust, proth, and generalized fermat search programs do not use the GMP library.

GMP-ECM does but is usually used on "small" numbers - where the GMP FFT bug shouldn't crop up?

PFGW also uses the GMP library, but again only on small numbers.

I only wanted to warn people using GMP library (like me)! I know that there are no problems in released programs for distributed computing (they are heavily tested before release).

I choose to write here instead of (say) programming, factoring or software subforum because I guess most of us always read here before...
